Vista takes up about 7 GB on my hard drive. That's not too bad, right?

I can't believe a USB drive used as cache is faster than the Hard Drive using itself for cache.

I'll check my hard drive when I get home, but I don't think Vista takes up too much space. A 250 GB drive or bigger is fine.

I still can't believe how much faster this new computer is than my old one. On my Dell, XP took three or four minutes to fully load and took about two minutes to shut down. On my HP, Vista takes one second to load and maybe ten seconds to shut down. It's unreal. I hope it stays this fast as I install new programs.

A cool thing about Vista is that when I plug my 4 GB memory stick into a USB port, it uses it as a high-speed disk cache, which makes the computer even a little bit faster than it already is! This feature is called ReadyBoost and requires a ReadyBoost-compatible memory stick, which I bought at Staples for $27.

One question, how much space does the operating system take up with Vista? As for multimedia keyboards, I rarely use mine for anything put the Volume controls.
