Blu-ray movies are encoded at a maximum of 40 Mbps, compared to 29.4 Mbps max. for HD-DVD and 8 Mbps max. for DVD (5 Mbps average). VHS tapes would be the equivalent of 2 Mbps. Paul Reubens had auditioned for <i>Saturday Night Live</i> in 1980 and was rejected. Gilbert Gottfried was chosen instead.
