FYI, During an episode of South Park called “Cripple Fight”, Timmy and Jimmy act out the fight scene from “They Live” shot by shot, including all of the dialogue. It was pretty funny.
That’s funny! We’ll have to mention that in one of the upcoming shows. By the way, South Park has gotten funny again.
YES! I think the feedback on the movie robots in Transformers would be a lot more positive if they’d only have made the faces a bit more recognizable. I don’t understand how Bay could put such emphasis on keeping things somewhat realistic and then he goes and gives Optimus lips. Robot lips always take me out of a movie when I see them moving.
I don’t give much of a crap about the movie or video game voices but Roddy Piper as Megatron would have been fantastic. And let Louie Anderson have the role of Bumblebee or someone. I like your Louie Anderson impressions and I think they should be in every show.
Hey guys I would love to hear that little kid you got to review Ghost Rider again. He was awesome. Did he see Spider-Man III? Is he planning on seeing any other summer movies? I loved him because he was just as crusty and curmudgeony as you two. GET HIM BACK ON!
I would buy a parenting book written by Alec Baldwin.
Haha, yes, Louie Anderson should be in the Transformers movie! That would be great. I think one of the reasons why fans are getting upset about Optimus Prime’s lips is because they look like they’re on his chin, which makes no sense and looks stupid.
We’ll get Adam on the show again in a couple of weeks for another movie review. We’re going to have some other people on the show soon, too.
By the way, I misspoke in this episode. The reason Bumble Bee was not a volkswagon is not what I said, but that Michael Bay didn’t want people to confuse it with Herbie the Love Bug. Which of course would have been easily avoided by having Bumble Bee transform and start talking to Spike. Instead, we’ll make him a different car you can only talk to Spike by playing him songs on the radio. What a buffoon!
when i was a college tutor, i showed the sequence where roddy piper first puts the sunglasses on in ‘they live’ – my students were dumbstruck1 glad i did my bit for british education. ‘they live’ is one of the most overlooked sci-fi films there is and ripe for a serious and respectful remake.
