Hey guys! Turtles Forever is on YouTube. I’d also recommend listening to a recent podcast interview with 80s cartoon writer David Wise. He wrote more original G1 Transformers scripts than anyone else and he’s also responsible for creating much of the defining characteristics of the 80’s TMNT cartoon. He talks a lot about the turtles and writing cartoons. It’s a great show.
Did you hear Keith Ober the host of Remote Control died? That was the MTV game show where Colin Quinn got his start. The only thing I remember about that show was it had one category called “Inside Tina Yothers” or something like that. I don’t think there’s ever been another game show like it.
And I think there’s more going on with Nicolas Cage than he’s claiming. The accountant’s side of the story sounds more like the truth to me. Cage lives way beyond his means and he buys dumb things, like once I heard he outbid Leonardo DiCaprio on a Tyrannosaurus skull. I knew he was into Superman but I didn’t know his comic book collection sold for 1.6 million dollars. It’s all pretty sad, especially since just last night my wife and I watched that movie where he played a cop who split a lottery ticket with a waitress. It was funny to see the good hearted, selfless character he played talk about how money and living lavishly is not important, knowing the guy playing the role lived his life the exact opposite way.
Oh, thanks for the link Esteban! Unfortunately, this old crapper PC I have runs Flash 10 movies like garbage. Supposed to get a new one December 15th. Good point about Cage and his wild spending. I do recall him spending absurd amounts of money for comic books! Stupid.
That podcast’s interview with David Wise was awesome. I love those kinds of interviews with writers/producers like that, they have so much more interesting things to say than the actors. Love how they start off making fun of Bay’s Junkformers. Later Wise mentioned how he used bad writing by George Lucas in Return of the Jedi to save the start of the G.I. Joe Real American Hero cartoon. Upset he didn’t apologize for Kremzeek though!
