it won’t be long before your 10th anniversary. i’m wondering within the next decade if television channels and media outlets will open their archives and maybe we will see shows that were thought lost – it would be perfect for a streaming subscription service of some kind as we will be paying for exactly what we want. i personally think it is the only way something like the BBC can stay relevant or survive. the ‘veronica mars’ kickstarter is hopefully the beginning of some really interesting projects funded the same way since studios seem to bereft of ideas or keep producing vehicles for non-entity actors and fading stars.
It’s amazing though how much shows up on YouTube. I think some people were literally recording and hoarding TV programs on VHS tapes. I mean, I am a racing fan and I can probably find the full TV recording of any major motor race held in the last 35 years. Just from people converting their VHS tapes to YouTube.
PS: We do have one piece of audio from the early days to roll out for the 8th anniversary. Well, in reality I have some stuff of Rob and I that goes back to high school. Not sure if we’ll play that though, a lot of it is quite “offensive!!!”
