Sylvester Stallone

Sylvester Stallone played the mentally unstable Vietnam War veteran John J. Rambo in the movie First Blood (1982) and in the two sequels Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985) and Rambo III (1988). Now, he is starring in the upcoming sequel Rambo, in theaters January 25, 2008.
Does Stallone expect us to believe he can single-handedly defeat an entire army at age 61? The movies were barely believable when he was in his 30s.
(discussed in episodes 10, 54, 61, 86, and 92)

He looks worse than Seagal.
I know. What’s happened to Sylvester Stallone, Steven Seagal, Mel Gibson, and Dennis Haskins? They used to be in great shape.
At least Tom Cruise looks the same compared to 20 years ago. Is it because of Scientology?

Oh please — the guy is in great shape for 61; I’d like to see what you guys would look like at his age. The character is very believable — Stallone does a fine job of not overdoing it.
The film has grossed about 140 million worldwide — so, many people still believe in the character.
“The film has grossed about 140 million worldwide — so, many people still believe in the character.”
Richard, is the $140 million because many people still believe in the character or is it because movie ticket prices have tripled since twenty years ago?
